AUM Medtech, manufacturer and intellectual property owner of more than 25 of UVC germicidal irradiation disinfection solutions, has been recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a certified producer of anti-microbial devices, under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), a U.S. federal law that determines pesticide regulation in order to protect applicators, consumers, and the environment.
This EPA registration recognizes AUM UVGI’s commitment to providing devices that safely and effectively eliminate deadly pathogens like Corona Virus and super bugs.”
What is FIFRA Compliance
According to FIFRA, “pesticide” devices, which include all anti-microbial UVC decontamination devices, may only be manufactured in a registered manufacturing establishment. In addition, these devices are regulated to ensure that “false or misleading claims” cannot be made about the efficacy of devices. The EPA registration and FIFRA regulations require manufacturers to provide supporting scientific data to validate efficacy claims including for EMC and electrical safety.
Further our devices will be undergoing testing for efficacy against Corona Virus Human variant 229E to prove its efficacy against COVID and will be the only Indian manufacturer to be both registered with EPA and to prove its efficacy against COVID.
